Was Peggy's Cove the place that had the gun-powder ship exploded and
destroyed the town?

That was Halifax..... the blast destroyed half of the entire city.

Ok, you guys had the Mont Blanc, we had the Grande Camp in Texas City.
Texas city is about 20 mi S. of me. Notice ....... they both were
French named ships.

Google Halifax Explosion.... then Google Peggy's Cove.... then Google Mahone
Bay.

http://www.woodenboatfestival.org/imgs/ps_header.jpg Like that clipper
bow, looks like a mini RedCloud hull.

Peggy's cove looks like my kind of place. Is most the fishing Lobster
fishing?

Now Mahone Bay, I'd like to make the Pumpkin People Fesitval.

You trolling or stopping to fish?
What are you fishing for?

Running two sets, a Deep Troll & Shallow Troll - Mackerel, Halibut,
Swordfish, Cod, Pollock, Haddock and Hake.

Wow sounds like fun fishing, love to hook up with a nice swordfish.
Not many people who post here know how to fish, or even talk about
fishing. Yet sailboats make the best trolling vessels on earth, I'm
rarely not trolling underway in the Gulf. We troll for King & Spanish
mackerel, Sailfish, Yellowfin & BluefinTuna, Dolphin, ling, White &
Blue Marlin.

I have a 1942 Dam Ocean 4040 on the original Dam pole. Makes Penn look
like junk.

Joe,

Have you trolled for Tarpon? I understand that they are feeding just
north of the north jetty, within five miles of shore.

Well they hang in the flosum lines, good fighters, full of worms.
We let em go, like I said we never go after Tarpon but have hooked a
few.
Also have caught at least 100 trigger fish and never fish for them
either.

I'll post a report if I catch anything more than a good buzz!

Peggy's Cove is a tourist trap now. It was a nice spot once. Narrow entrance
[20 yards wide]
