But you and most others here tried (in vain) to make fun of my boats,

No one made fun of your boats. We made fun of the fact that you seem to
think that boat ownership somehow makes a person a better sailor, an owning
a "better" boat somehow improves one's sailing ability. One of the most
successful racers in these parts sails a Catalina 27. The guys that won
overall on the Shore course of the Mac raced a Bristol 27. You could come up
with hundreds of cruisers that show the same ability, and it has nothing to
do with the boats they sail, it's the person behind the wheel or tiller.
Anyone out there could tell you that.
