Sailing your boat your way!!

The boat is too fast under power for convenient shots from another sailboat, and I don't have a dingy to sit in while taking pictures of the boat with someone else at the helm. And my wife sure doesn't want to do it. Jim |

Why not just take some pictures while under sail or power. I'm sure you
could get a picture or three that includes part of your boat... -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "JimC" wrote in message t... Capt. JG wrote: I always have an interest in fine vessels. Good one JG. "JimC" wrote in message .com... Scotty, you need to read the original note more carefully. What I said was: "...those of us who can SAIL as well as motor at 15 knots to and from a preferred sailing area, or to get around a squall, can enjoy our SAILboats even more." But how about getting off this crap and instead responding to the fact that my boat does cruise under power at 15 knots, and that this enables me to get where I need to go at higher speeds when needed. OK, Jim. As long as you're happy being a power boater, that's fine with me. I like to sail to where I'm going. Scotty |

that's fine with me. I like to sail to where I'm going. Which is NOWHERE. Don't worry, Jim. Scotty owns a boat that's worth almost nothing and it shows. Your boat rates a very nice 222 PHRF and it can also get you home FAST when needed. You enjoy your boat and that drives trailer trash Scotty Potty out of his itty bitty mind. Clear skies, Jim. Thanks. I had thought posting under the subject "Sailing your boat your
way" might give me a little slack, but I underestimated the problem. Jim Capt. Rob wrote: OK, Jim. As long as you're happy being a power boater, that's fine with me. The header is '' S A I L I N G your boat your way''. Not
''motoring your boat''. Have the dual rudders given you any problems? Scotty "JimC" wrote in message . com... Thanks. Thanks. I had thought posting under the subject "Sailing your boat your way" might give me a little slack, but I underestimated the problem. Jim, allow me to outline the sort of "man" scotty potty is. Some years ago, after I sold my Pearson 30, I announced that I was buying a Catalina 30. Scotty, feeling I was buying a boat on a level he could identify with, was being quite civil and happy about it. Then I announced the truth...I had bought a much nicer C&C 32, representing (quite sadly) a nice boat that poor Scotty could never own. Without a moment's hesitation he started crying and yammering on how I was a liar blah blah blah. Becuase he owns junk he'd be happier with folks who also own junk as it's less of a threat and a clear indicator of how short his life has fallen. You went out an bought what you wanted. Scotty can't do that. He's stuck with a boat that is 100% renowned for being awful. You can ask about the Siedelmann in any sailing group read the responses: Don't buy one. Another sad case here is Sloco, AKA Ringmaster. This guy is so lame he's been spinning like a top because I bought a bigger faster boat. Now that I own a Beneteau 35s5 (Still a modest boat by any measure) poor Scotty is beside himself with envy. He's bitter, angry and not sailing. What can you do with people like this? My friend owns a Tayana 48DS costing 6 times more than my boat. I've happy for him...and happy I get to sail it. Another friend owns a Sweden 39...a super nice boat as well. Scotty would probably like to suicide bomb these sailors. Be happy and keep sailing. Nothing upsets Scotty more. We're sailing today at 3:00...looks good...clear skies to you, Jim. RB 35s5 NY |

Jim,
Its my post and I mean it. Your Sail boat lets you do a lot of different things that " Us purest can't" and that's OK with me. Our boats ( when I had a boat) have different strengths. By the way; my first boat here it the NW was a Mac. 2-22 on a trailer. I sailed that boat on the many, many Lakes out here. It also let me range much greater distances on a week-end than I would ever even consider with my later boats (2 of them) There is nothing better than; "Messing around with boats" any kind of boats; AND "I'LL DRINK TO THAT!" By the way; Scotty also owned and sailed a Mac so toughen your skin and go with the flow. http://community.webtv.net/tassail/ThomPage |

Yulp, a Mac26S ( not an X ), which I sailed more often and further than Bob**** ever has, which is why he's so jelious / angry with me.
