Sounds nice. Although I could *buy* a pair of new Lasers for the cost of a week's stay. Oh well, if you have to ask... Oh, it's not quite that bad. And at one point in time, my wife would rather have had a new Laser of her own than spend a week getting pampered, nowadays we have different priorities. I've been hoping a sailing resort would pop up on the Gulf coast... There used to be one in the Keys (Rick's Place), but Rick and Mary got out of the business. If you hear of one drop me a line. There are several "schools" which are basically resorts but none have as nice a fleet, and none are in the trade winds (man, it's easy to get spoiled down there). http://tinyurl.com/zqxpx http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/High-...QQcmdZViewItem Walt wrote: Hey, you're the high bidder. Yeah but will it last? ... Too bad the reserve isn't met. There was another Stiletto 27 on Ebay a few weeks ago where the high bid was considerably higher, and more than I'd pay, and still didn't meet the reserve. This one has been for sale asking $15k for a while, plus it's fairly close to us. Don't know how it will end up. Wouldn't you have to pay double for the slip for one of those? That would factor into the TCO, no? It should, but then you'd have to admit to all those uppity multihull sailors they're twice the boat.... In this case, it would live on a trailer in a friend's back yard right on the creek near our marina. |
