Unless you have a truly huge mono, a planning mono like a 49er, or a
multihull, fast is not a word I would use to describe sailing. Sailing isn't about going fast. It is perhaps, in a very limited case, about beating other boats in a race. For cruising, there's no such thing as fast. If you're in a hurry take a car or a plane.
