Gotta love Joe's silly posts. Look at the pic again, Joe. Notice
anything odd?
Good test for Joe...he already failed.

Oh fer Gawd's Sakes... first off the "Sail by" shot is on Wildbread Bay in
the East arm of Great Slave Lake.... and Quit using photoshop to frig with
the colour maps on your photos... you've made the sunbrella almost
fluorescent and washed out all the detail in the white areas with your
pitiful attempts at producing blue water out of grey water.

You retouched the photos and it's obvious.... plus the Sail-By shot was
taken on the East Side of the Caribou Islands.... on Great Slave LAKE! The
water there is tinted black from bordering peat bogs all along that part of
the coast. The other side of the Island chain is clear with visibility to 40
ft... and you'll see it in the accompanying shots as BLUE.

Face it... you sail in a sewage lagoon.

Au Contraire Bobsprit..... it's the premise for the fact that your sailing
grounds are the recipient of the out flow from surrounding input.... in my
case I truthfully stated that peat tints water, but you will not see a high
TSS count. Interestingly enough there is a noticeable thermal separation and
pH value difference between the warmer water on the east side of the Caribou
Islands and the colder west side.

BTW - Are you claiming the grey water in the LIS is a naturally occurring
phenomena based on geomorphology??

Oh no... it's totally polluted .... despite what they claim about tidal
flushing action... Halifax Harbour is sewage lagoon. I don't sail there at
all.... well okay I went there for Tall Ships 2000. It was disgusting!

How can you sail in the LIS.... ???? YE-E-E-C-C-H!

Tidal flushing action in your area is quite weak compared to the peak 4
knot currents of the LIS, and higher at other depths.
Meanwhile, your coastal area is a straight washup like any other and
not clean.
The LIS waters are among the cleanest swimming waters around, which is
part of the reason why we have a much larger boating community and
history than you.

Pf-f-f-f-t-t... polarizer filters.... look at the churned water in the tow
picture.

They need "cruising guides" for your area due to the plethora of idiots. We
use "charts" up here..... you know what a chart is don't you Rob? It's the
"map" that rock you hit was identified on as an obstruction.... was it also
listed in your glossy cruising guide?

Bwahahahahahahahaahhaaaa

Tsk Tsk Tsk.... we have the deepest ocean port on Canada's East coast.
Despite having only a population of just over 500 thousand it's a major
container, fuel, auto and military port.

Meanwhile, your coastal area is a straight washup like any other and
not clean.

Areas outside Halifax Harbour border on the open Atlantic.... is that what
you mean by "straight wash up" ????

The LIS waters are among the cleanest swimming waters around, which is

First off Halifax has been a city far longer than NYC.... second we have a
much older sailing history than NYC.... and the only reason you have more
boats is because you have 20 million people compared to our 500 thousand.

Last but not least.... LIS is a sewage ******** and has elevated fecal
coliform levels as well as bio waste and a super elevated toxin release
potential trapped in the 10 meters of silt covering the bottom of your
sewage lagoon. Swim in the LIS??? I don't think so... and I wouldn't swim
in Halifax Harbour either!

Face it Bobsprit... you sail in a Sewage Lagoon!
