Why should anyone else have to pay for it?
"Capt" Rob wrote: Anytime someone sets out for a sail, they may end up getting rescued. Costs? I know people who think recreational sailing or cruising is follhardy. Want them to make decisions for you like Marty? When they make decisions about my money, yes. "eating contests" are generally not considered a brave endeavor, Bubbles. People have died or required serious medical attention during such contests. Yep. Is that a reason why I should pay for it? People can jump off cliffs, too. You genuinely believe that society must bear the cost for all stupid risk-taking behavior? .... Better make them leave a hospital deposit before trying for that 60th hot dog. Tell you what, why make it just for contests? Why not open a chain of free fast-food restaurants catering especially to the morbidly obese? DSK |
