I'm fairly certain that anyone who knowingly responds to **** heels like
these databozos isn't much better. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Maxprop" wrote in message ink.net... "Bob Crantz" wrote in message . .. "blondie" wrote in message ... If you treat them fairly and with some respect they'll do the same in kind. Calling them bozos may make them angry. I always use fresh socks for puppets because one never knows when one will be hit by a car and one doesn't want ambulance drivers to see dirty undergarments. |

Are you on drugs? These assholes are not interested in anything except
making this newsgroup unusable. Every time you repost their crap, it gives them addition ammunition. If you haven't figured that out by now, there's not much else to say. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Bob Crantz" wrote in message ... "Capt. JG" wrote in message ... A lot of people burnish after wet sanding. I would think that the metal would produce a rougher surface than wetsanding. But wetsanding is a super PITA, especially if taking the effort to get it fair. On a small one-design it's not that big a deal to wetsand with a longboard up to 600 grit and finish with 1000 grit. This produces an incredibly perfect bottom (and the realization that skill & attention to detail during the race itself makes far more difference). .... Since I only had 2 coats of bottom paint sprayed on I skipped the wet sanding with the idea of doing it next spring. I didn't want to take paint off and I was also running out of time. OK that makes sense. It has always seemed kinda dumb to me to put on expensive putty & paint then sand 50% of it off... but that's the only way anybody knows how to get the results! ... We had already missed 4 races of our first series. I burnished with the bronze wool to get rid of the fine sandpaper feel of the spray job. It actually came out almost as smooth as if I would have wetsanded. The light gray "custom" color looks hot. http://community.webshots.com/photo/...26592168nDfDwh http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/rcr...view/f104?b=14 That is a good looking boat. The color sets off the green stripe nicely. Unrelated question: How come there's no frac rigs at all in your fleet? Fresh Breezes- Doug King |
