DSK No, I work under the boatyard's insurance and certification. I also handled a boat tow last week, piloting a 24 foot tow-boat to bring is a disabled Columbia 34. I've captained 4 sea trials over the last few weeks as well. At this point there's no boat I can't handle, though I'm still rough around the edges with bigger twin screw yachts. If things continue onward and upward, I'll probably end up having to get a captain's licence so I can do jobs outside of the yard. No big deal...my ex-girlfriend passed hers just by reading the book and taking one nav class at the Museum of Natural History. RB 35s5 NY |
