Bragging at last...
I now own a Nikon D2X along with several of the very best 35mm lenses
in the world. This is among the very best 35mm has to offer. Perhaps I'm bragging when I say I own a camera body costing 4500.00 or lenses costing twice that. Perhaps. But I was not bragging about the Kia Sedona...it's just a minivan. Perhaps I was bragging about my 35s5, a boat nicer, newer, faster and better built than most others here. But why REALLY brag? They are just things anyone could buy (except Scotty and Sloco who are poor and cheap). And as I said anyone could buy them and yet we are all just renters here on earth until our time is spent. But the responses from most of the folks only proves how material you all are. This stuff is junk to me as far as cost goes. I appreciate it's value based on function, design and the skill it took to put it together. The rest of you are obsessed with costs. I doubt any of you could appreciate a thing, beautifully made, unless it was expensive. So very very sad indeed. RB 35s5 NY |

Shucks.... I'm stuck with a medium format Mamiya C3 pro. using B&W
film. Yup, once you play with a pro DSLR and see how much fun in it, the old stuff seems even older. And I'm a guy who used to shoot large format and laugh at medium format. http://members.aol.com/bobsprit/images/flowersweby.jpg RB 35s5 NY |

I used to have a Bronica. Nice lens. The body was always in the shop. A
friend bought it, then tossed it for a Blad. He described the difference as with a Blad, you could always use the body as a stool for reaching high places. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Joe" wrote in message ups.com... PS.. Oh Bravo Bob.... :-D
Can't say much for the casting technique...sloppy at best... but the darn thing hit center of the pond!!! Allow Me.... "Capt. What a great camera! I'm not bragging either when I tell you it cost me over 10K with all the fancy scmansy lenes. But I was not bragging about the Kia Sedona...it's just a minivan. Heh Dude... I'm seriously lookin' at the Smart car... http://www.thesmart.ca why brag... it's transportation. Perhaps I was bragging about my 35s5, a boat nicer, newer, faster and better built than most others here. I thought it was an older model second hand boat that sat for years unsued because the owner had other boats he liked better and was willing to part with this one at what you claimed was a "song"??? But why REALLY brag? They are just things anyone could buy (except Scotty and Sloco who are poor and cheap). And as I said anyone could buy them and yet we are all just renters here on earth until our time is spent. No... I own my boat outright... I believe both Scotty & Loco do as well. Holy Crap... I wouldn't want to have a credit note on a boat hanging over my head! I'm not bragging when I say I not only paid in excess of 50K for the boat in cash... but liked it so much I had it trucked across Canada twice!! Such is the price of satisfaction. But the responses from most of the folks only proves how material you all are. This stuff is junk to me as far as cost goes. I appreciate all my possessions Bob... then again I'm not so crass as to consider cost as a measure of quality. Thank you Ladies and Gentlemen... I won't be here all week but be sure check in for the next performance! :-) CM- |

but the darn thing hit center of the pond!!! Good work, Mooron, but I can't bite on your cast as the flavor is the same as mine. The F4 is a splendid camera. I had the F5 and prefered the 4's handling. But you might honestly give a D200 a try. I think you'd be pretty pleased with the results, fun factor and cost is not too high at 1699.00 for the body. You have the glass already. Look at poor Joe with his Mama Mia C3. The poor sod thinks he owns a superior camera, but people take photos and I've seen great work done with lowly Canon rangefinders. My most recent lens is the Tamron 90 DI Macro...a stunning hunk of glass and sharper than any Nikon prime I've owned or tried...including the Nikon Micro 105mm.
