The temperature at which it loses significant strength is a hell of a lot less. At 2000F, steel has gone an orange-red colour and is easily deformed, is non-magnetic as it has undergone a phase change to pretty much pure austenite. You *did* know that the WTC buildings had structural steel skeletons, didn't you? IOW, you're full of ****. As usual.
