I would like to transfer a Pearson26 (draws 5400 lbs)

from a trailer to
jack stands. I'm only getting temporary use of the

trailer, so I will
have to get it on jack stands. Has anyone or anyone you

know performed
this seemingly superhuman feat without the use of a

helicopter or
crane?
Thanks.

If it's going to be an annual thing, consider building a

steel structure
strong enough to support the weight of the boat (we have a

lot of welders in
the family and we made a similar structure for my father's

30 foot cruiser).
We used heavy duty straps and several come-alongs to lift

the boat out of
the trailer and then drove the trailer out. We didn't

leave it hanging on
the straps of course, and put jack stands in the

appropriate places. The
steel structure doubled as a storage building, and some

cheap plastic made a
nice weather proof cover.

I'll bet that looked real nice next to his double wide.

Scotty

Technically, it was what made it a double wide.
