If I knew it I would have. Nice poem We had to put down our last dog Simone, the schitzu. We adopeted him from an animal shelter when he was 8 years old and had him till he was 21, Terry still misses him.. We got Skipper a couple mo. later. Joe When I was still in the pet business, I had to deal with loss frequently. I found, over the years, that it is much better to anticipate and find a replacement before the event occurs. One of the reasons I suggest this, and most vets will concur, is that a sick or aged pet will extend their life when a puppy is introduced. Another is that the hole that is left is not so great. Barring that, filling that hole soon is also IMO, the better way to go, remembering that the new pet is NOT the old pet. |
