The guy is just know going through the oral defence, thesis won't be
published until he (hopefully) get an MSc granted, it'll take six months
to a year. I'll try to remember and go look it up.

I wonder if the water ingress has something to do with
increased permeability of the surface when water molecules
impact it at 600 + knots?


Gee, you think? ;-) I also wonder if it could be that in many cases
the stuff is in the solid state when it impacts.
