Default Sailing South Texas

Ron,
Thanks,
This is one of the few responses that had any usable
information.

I am still reviewing my options as this would be a real high
maintenance day sailor. If it can't be raced in the local
MORF classes and there isn't much cruising ground, that
would make this the wrong boat.

Thanks again,
Matt Colie

[snip]

I have found a J-24 fleet, but can not identify much other
keel boat racing and the charts (nice- have the available on
the web now) do not look like there is much cruising ground.

Most of Corpus Christi Bay carries 5' draft. Same with the
Lydia Ann Channel and Rockport Bay.

Question: Is it worth my while to drag this boat to Corpus
Christi/Rockford?

I've kept my boat in Corpus and Port Aransas. I have friends
in Rockport. All fine sailing locations.
