Much as it pains me to do so, I have to agree with you

here. The agonic
line used to run smack dab through my home when I was a

kid. Now it's
about 100 miles east.

When you have to confirm property limits from a survey

completed in
1951... and that survey is based on Magnetic North

bearings...

I'm guessing that by the current magnetic survey, my

property must be in
Ohio by now.

Geological Survey of Canada can provide the exact

location as well as path
of travel of the Magnetic North for any year recorded. I

have been to the
Magnetic North in 1983.

Did you see God? Or Elvis?

He's Canadjun, he saw Wayne Gretzky.

Did your compass spin?
How did water act when you flushed? (clockwise, counterclockwise spin)
or did it just drop straight down?
Did the magnetic field feel diffrent coming thru the top of your head?
Did you get dizzy with the earth spinning under your feet?
Was there a pole there? If not did you put one in?
Was it cold?
Find any astroids or metorites laying around?
If you walk around the pole are you walking around the world?

Joe,

The magnetic field has practically no effect on the coriolus forces. You are
confusing the magnetic pole with the axis of rotation.

However, there are piles of dead birds to be found at the poles. Birds, and
other animals, have small bits of paramagnetic material in their skulls that
help with direction finding. Once they get near the poles they try to fly
straight up and eventually fall to the ground from exhaustion.

An even bigger problem is GPS navigation near the true poles. To a GPS unit
all direction is lost at the pole. That is why airline routes do not fly
directly over the pole.

Did you know you boat will stop rusting at the magnetic pole?

Amen!

Try this experiment:

Place large magnetics on the inside of the hull. Notice that rusts stops in
that area on either side of the hull.

Have you ever seen a rusty magnet?

Amen!

Read this:

The magnetic field binds the steel, so it is much harder for rust to form.

Use strong magnets!

Amen!

Thats going to be hard, I do not have any rust on my hull inside or out
;0(.]

I made a magnet out of a nail and it rusted...

Your link says nothing about a magnetic field reducing rust Bob.

My neighbor works as an engineer designing down hole tools for the
oilfield, perffereators lowered down the hole and exploded to fracture
the rock to release more oil. Anyhow he says the make high explosives
out of rust.

You have a wonderfully inventive imagination!

An even bigger problem is GPS navigation near the true poles. To a GPS unit

Why would this be? I don't see why the location algorithym should become
invalid at these locations.
