Hey Scotty remember this guy?
HOUSTON A judge in Houston today ordered seven years in prison for a businessman who in 2003 faked his death to avoid paying his debts. Fifty-six-year-old Larry Michael Nixon also must pay nine (M) million dollars in restitution and three and a-half (M) million dollars in fines. Nixon in September pleaded guilty to defrauding Minnwest Bank Central in Montevideo, Minnesota, and Old National Bank in Indianapolis. Nixon owned a company called L-and-D Interests, which did business as Delta Crane. Nixon's 40-foot speedboat, the "Living Extra Fast," collided with a barge in Galveston Bay. The Coast Guard spent days looking for Nixon, but never recovered a body. Authorities later found Nixon, using the name Patrick Hudgens, living in Weatherford. Joe |
