.... most of my posts about the 35s5 have been about it's proven performance. In fact nearly 1/3 of the 35s5's race record shows wins or very good finishes Porsche used to advertise the same thing back in the '60s. SCCA not only placed Porsche in "E" production class but allowed aftermarket exhaust manifolds and bigger cabriolet engines in light speedsters. MGBs and Healeys were in "D" and MGAs in "F" eliminating competition. Or if you are a camera buff you might know that most contest winning 35mm shots were taken with Nikons. Because they are best? No, because of Nikon Professional Service - if you were a working pro Nikon would loan you any gear you needed to get that prize winning shot for free. Hence most pro's used Nikon. Need I mention that Harleys won every race in the Sportster-Only class or that BMW always wins the Battle of the Legends or .... What I can't figure is why anybody would race a sail boat bigger than about 12 feet. Anybody with any sense would start the motor, or get a bigger motor, if they wanna go faster. |
