Default Hull failure data?

Does anyone know of a website that contains structural failure percentages
in terms of hull types and also manufacturers.

I have found accidents and fatalites etc per 100,000 boats owned for any
given year but no info on individual manufacturers.

Is this info not available?

Adrian, hull failures are quite rare and usually associated with some
sort of external factor. I've seen nothing like the list you seek, nor
would it have much value with out data on each failure and condition of
the vessel cited.

Here's a pdf with lots of info on causes and statistics for boating
accidents in 2004.

http://www.uscgboating.org/statistic...stics_2004.pdf

Shame it does not contain manufacturer statistics.

Again, I don't see what knowing the builder would help with. You'd need
to know the history of the vessel, repair record, how well it was cared
for, cause of failure and so on. This still would be of limited value
without a knowledge of how the boat was used before the failure
occured.
