Why is Doug so Bitter?

"Capt. Rob" wrote in message

So now poor Katy is telling anyone who enjoy sailing near a city that
they're doing something wrong!

.....as if you had a choice.

35s5...a boat for the big city!

Bwahahahahahahahaahahahahahahaaaaa.....

I chose to sail in Florida and North Carolina last summer. You chose to
leave your boat ON LAND!!!
Is the interior fixed yet?

A demo sail????? Bwahahahahahahahahahahaahaaaaaa. Did they let you steer
and handle the "ropes" too?????

You chose to leave yours on a trailer..... or the dock when you had one.

If you mean , did I install a home theater, AC, surround sound, intercom,
genset, cheap veneer and enlarge the head to accomodate really fat
people..... Nope!

I don't have a genset. I don't have surround sound. Many new radios
have the intercom feature...not surprising you don't know about it, old
man! I only have veneer on the honeycombed bulkheads (to save weight).
Sorry if folks over 6 feet tall can't close the door to your head. When
they say Nordic 30's stink they aint kidding!!!
Seriously...did you finish redoing that "poorly done interior" yet???

BWAHAHAHAHA!

We sailed the 35s5 with her owner and on the sea trial We rented a
Hobie 16 near Salt Creek and did the same in NC. We also sailed a 35s5
here on the LIS and also sailed quite a few other boats.
Your boat sat high and dry and you NEVER sailed!

Don't forget to seal those leaky ports or you'll do that interior
twice!

Yeah but you are going to put them in... you said as much in previous posts.
Remeber the "horrific" AC comment??

I doubt there's more than 3 board feet of real wood on your entire vessel.

Sorry if folks over 6 feet tall can't close the door to your head. When

Heh... my head dosen't smell at all..... I quess in part to the fact that
sitting down is stipulated by size and design... not like the head in the
35s5... where a crew member can hose down the TP, Tooth brush rack, towels
and ports with every wake.

Seriously...did you finish redoing that "poorly done interior" yet???

If restoration is required... I at least have the option to sand and
varnish.... while you are relegated to "peel & stick"....

Bwahahahahahahahahahaahaaa

As even Jeff admitted, it can be quite oppressive to be below on a boat
baking in 95 degrees. There's nothing healthy about it either. I expect
the AC will be used then. We have no plans for a genset at this time.
Sorry

Doubt all you wish. I'm not even curious about it. I just don't want to
ever own a boat like yours with a poorly built interior, as YOU
admitted. Is yours even half done yet? Fit and finish is not only about
specific materials. More bad news: My honeycomb bulkheads cost more
than your wood by quite a bit.

Sorry again, Mooron! You can't lie about this:

That head is even smaller than the one on the C&C 32. Tall people can't
use it easily and can't close the door. No thanks!

As I said, only the bulkheads and sliders are veneer. I can't imagine
why I'd ever have to repair any of them, as they look like brand new
after 16 years. That's proper yacht design, built to last instead of
the following...

"The woodwork inside is not always of the best workmanship and is a
common problem with all Nordicas."

Mooron, you never had a chance after that one!!! You can't talk your
way out of it, you can't bwahahahaha! your way out either. You boat has
BAD workmanship. Period. And after 16 years even well raced 35s5's look
good! Mine looks like new!

I would imagine that ventilation on a poorly designed vessel with
peel'n'stik decor might become a sweat lodge... but this never happens on
properly designed vessels with quality interiors. Do all the charter boats
in the tropics have AC??

BTW- You'll need the genset since your "superior" design didn't allow for an
extra bank of batteries ... probably due to the fact the manufacturer never
thought you would actually sail the dang thing... they threw in the AC
instead.

Fit and finish has nothing to do with the quality of the real Burmese
Teak..... but Heh... if you're happy the technicians got the edges even on
the peel'n'stik liner... who am I to argue.

Shure they can fit Bobsprit...... as long as they're willing to sit down to
take a dump. Do you stand to take a **** in your head underway? Must make
for a really sanitary condition down below. Oh that's right... you have the
AC and the chill cuts the odour!

Seems they didn't scrimp on the shelf liner when building your boat
Bobsprit!

"The woodwork inside is not always of the best workmanship and is a

Yeah Well.... nonetheless it's real wood. Not that you have any experience
with that.

No, No No, Bobsprit... as you pointed out with my own words... the fit and
finish isn't the best... but Buddy.... it's still Way-y-y-y-y-y Better than
any Peel'n'Stik shelf liner with Honeycomb bulkheads.

Bwahahahahahahahaha

By the way... do you need a sheet or two of the "Honey Comb" material. I
have a couple in the shed. Seriously!! I was going to use it to build a
pair of nacelles for my pedal boat.... but heh.. maybe you need the extra
reinforcement.

Actually, a real wood interior is capable of absorbing moisture, is a
natural disenfectant and mold preventer.
