I just use some gift cards for a stove and roller furler,
got wholesale prices, and then 15% more off on top
of that.

Poor Swabbie!

needed for the 35s5.

if anyone else on this group were in the position
that you claim to be, they wouldn't be asking what
they should do with them. They would have already
given them away. Something you will never
understand.

What a turd Steve is. The cards came from family on my stepmother's
side and she passed away a little over a year ago. They're all excited
about the new boat and will want to hear how the cards were used. They
won't be thrilled to hear that their contributions were given away. I
guess I should just lie to them, right Steve? You're suggestion is
downright creepy.

No fair, you're not supposed to ask logical questions like that.

The persons fitting this profile are sociopaths identified
as stalkers. Most were not violent, the few exeptions were
individuals who built up to a history of violence very
gradually.

Unless the rest of your family is as low-down selfish as you are,
they would be delighted to hear that you gave to a charity. Of
course WE all know you'll never do that.

Beautiful story, bs. I especially like the
violins in the background.
Are you saying that your family is so selfish and
greedy that they would rather have you spend them
on boat stuff, when you say that you don't need
anything and you always get everything you need
free anyway, than give the gift cards to a good
cause?
Imagine their satisfaction when they find out you
donated the cards to a NY non-profit sailing
organization that reaches out to the
underprivileged or disabled. Well, 'imagine' is
all you'll be doing.

My stepmother's family is quite wealthy. They give plenty to charity
and since Thomas was born they send a lot of gifts our way. When asked
what we wanted for Xmas, I said gift cards for Thomas for life jacket
and water toys. I had no idea we'd get 1900 worth of cards. Whether you
like the story or not it's not my place to allocate their gift as
charity. Some might be offended. We'll find a way to spend it on
Thomas. And of course your response is no answer to the original
question.
Glad you liked the violins.
