yachts....carpet...on the cieling!!!! Goes great with the leaky thin
ports.

Mildew is the "State Plant" of Florida and oddly I have none. The
carpet insulation on the ceiling actually helps keep down condensation
on the ceiling, a problem when the humidity gets to nearly 100% on a
routine basis. Around here, you would rarely be able to use your boat
because its draft is too much to get in and out of most places. From
what I've heard, your "Putain Voyant Francaise" sails like a poodle.

My boat draws 4.9 feet.
And of course my 35s5 is faster than yours, even if I just carry the
mainsail!

Yes, and your S2 can't beat my SUV over snow.
Face facts...you own dated junk. No way around it. It's funny of
course, but probably not to you. How old are you that you're trapped
with a starter boat like that? I'm guessing that you're somewhere
between 22 and 32. I might have gone for an S2 when I was that age and
not well educated about boats.

Even if your floating bordello did make it out of the harbor here, it'd
never get back in until the next tide cycle. All fancied up and
nowhere to go. Fast enough to go round in circles but cant really go
anywhere.
I have given serious consideration to buying a bigger boat but since my
ego isnt tied to the size of my boat I decided against it. A bigger
boat will not go where I want to go. Even a 3' 10" draft is a serious
limitation for me.
In fact, I will probably NEVER buy another boat but will probably build
one. For some reason I have gotten into boat building and cant stop.
Currently, I am building a power boat, a Tolman Skiff (20' Standard,
you can google on Tolman Skiff) because I want a way to quickly get to
and from the local islands. My next boat MAY be something like the
Cormorant, a water ballast trailerable home built sailboat.

That's a shame you can't live somewhere for a boat with a proper keel.

Since I said I was 43 and you can't follow a simple thread, I have
serious doubts about the latter. Your boat with the shoal keel is even
slower rating a bit faster than a short rig Catalina 27. It's an awful
boat to sail.

sail and that's being kind. Craving a powerboat makes sense for you.

To bad you live in a place that is so boring you have to go out so
deep. Our shoreline is true wilderness here. There are few places
where you can get within 3 miles of shore and have more than 3' of
water.
