For you:

Get a Ruger Mini 14 or Mini 30 in stainless steel.

http://www.ruger-firearms.com/Firear...ifle&special=N

Buy two if you can. Ms. Terry can handle one.

Get a lot of large capacity magazines.

Buy the Russian ammo by Wolf. Varnished steel cases, good but inexpensive.

Don't get the gay folding stocks. Use a real stock and aim at what you
intend to hit. Use real marksmanship and practice.

You might want to look at shotguns too. Also a compound bow for silent work,
but you have to learn to shoot a bow and practice regularly.

For real firepower get an HK 91. They are expensive.

Amen!

Gunny.........I dont think so. Bos'n mate 2nd class.

Most pirate boats are e made of fiberglass over plywood right? That and
steel.

I will check out the AP rounds, have a bunch of FMJ's will use them at
the range plinking.

What about rifle type?

Needs to get around corners fast, NATO rounds, light, knockdown power,
good in a salty soup, can reach out and touch someone, what do you
think should be aboard?

Dont care for russian varnished steel. The powder is to corrosive, even
with my chrome lining... and the varnish can cause jamming in a very
hot barrell. Still have a 1000 rd tin I picked up at a gun show. When
you open them it's best to use them up fast.

I like most H&K rifles and the Ruger carbines good choices.

I don't care if you're hull is Titanium Joe..... a gasoline filled water
balloon lit up by a flare will keep everyone on the target boat too busy to
bother with you.

Nah Bob... you're going about this all wrong...... naked girls on deck
feigning distress and water balloons filled with gasoline..... fire gas
balloons then ignite with a flare gun.

Best for punching holes in pirate boats?

Whats the best boat rifle?

Joe

FMJ = full metal jacket, which is usually copper. It's useless for
anything except paper target shooting. For fleshy targets use an expansive
type round such as hollow points, Nosler Partitions, Grand Slams, etc.

For punching through steel use AP rounds (armour piercing):

Do NOT try this!

When in H.S. we found it great sport to pour a few spoonfull of gasoline down
some victim's crack then flick your Bic -- very entertaining in a crowded
hallway. Carried the gas in small bottles. One fool tried a balloon. Gas ate
the rubber and balloon broke saturating his pocket. Then .....

I recently read the account of a pirate attack in the Red Sea, IIRC. The
skipper had success with a shotgun, the attackers were probably using AK's.
Pretty heavy and can't be broken down, but you could go with a Barrett, keep
them at bay from a distance, fer sure, shotgun for close in work.
