Is it hydraulic?

Didn't you say your new one is adjustable? Is it hydraulic? Which boat was the picture taken on? The back stay is adjustable and lines beneath the deck control it from either side of the cockpit. Great system, simple and easy to maintain or upgrade. Again, I don't think anyone is putting undo stress or worry on the backstay and in general everyone grabs onto a stay from time to time.
