Please don't rub it in. I'm going to upgrade as soon as I can!!!

What do you think of this?

I like it...... nice deck layout, great ports, solid rigging and a good
sail plan. The winches seem substantial. The interior will make Bob's

latest
acquisition look like a coffin by comparison.I have heard of the vessel
before but never took the time to visit the website.

Will you be taking the aft stateroom to facilitate your morning tea in
berth??

I'm soooo tempted by this boat.

My only problem is that it is a bit slow! However, I recognise that there
is a compromise between seaworthiness and speed.

I'm getting older, and I'm beginning to appreciate the finer things in life.

I'd say "Go For It"!!!! Do you really want to be known as the guy that
has the same brand of boat as Bobsprit??

My only problem is that it is a bit slow! However, I recognise that

Have you actually sailed one yet to determine if the numbers on the board
match the real ouput numbers in reality??

Maybe that should read..... "beginning to be able to afford the finer
things in life"

No, but I don't really need to. It is definitely *not* going to do 15 kts
downwind .. ever.

There is an element of truth in that. However, I really wouldn't have
considered the Malo 5 years ago. It is just too damn slow. Now, I am
beginning to appreciate things like a beer cooler between the armchairs in
the saloon. Electric winches are beginning to sound good, too. A
comfortable aft-cabin would be nice.

However, none of these things can compare with the thrill of a 9 3/4 hour
club record for the 84 mile trip to St Vaast.

During that trip, we lost all but one of our halyards .... we dropped the
spinaker into the water three times ... we hit 15.6 kts ...

.... I'd like to experience that feeling again .... so I'm not quite ready
to change just yet, even if I know that I am unlikely to encounter the same
mix of crew and weather again.

I bet it would.... especially at that size.

Yeah... that and the room to fit those items in.

So..... crew on race boats.

Why? I already have a real race crew!!

I really don't understand why they sail with me ... but they are *really*
good.

One of my crew has crossed the Atlantic THREE times.

I don't understand why they sail with me ... they really like the boat!
