OK .... A 35 footer that draws 4 feet, nine inches won't go upwind
worth a **** EXACTLY. Folks who've sailed both claim that the difference is a few points and the wing is even a bit faster off the wind....which it is. Deep draft isn't that deep at 6 feet either compared to nearly 5 feet with winglets. What's the effective draft of both wing and fin when heeled at 15 & 20%, Sloco and what are the accossiated losses and differences between the two keels? How does this foil attempt and succeed (in many respects) in matching a fin that is 1 foot 3 inches deeper? You sure know boats!!!!! RB 35s5...a nice pointing boat! NY |
