Wife's laptop died. Don't have the other (kids)computer's outhouse express
set up. So, you're living aboard your boat or what, and why would you want
to go NORTH this time of year?

It won't be that far north....we're exploring our options in life...without
having to pay fuel oil costs at home...set the furnace to 52, asked my
daughter to checkj it every so often, and off we went...we're trying to
figure out where, besides MI, we would like to settle down for the second
half of our lives...sort of a semi-retirement experiment...MI has become a
wasteland and with the recent news from GM, it's not about to improve (they
gotta get Granholm out of there before the whole state bankrupts...) I'm
using my POS laptop which has some wicked kink in it since every time yiou
try to do more than a cursory search IE throws up an error message...I've
run it through the diagnostics, upgrades, etc but can't find the
problem...BTW, we're foen in "Dougville"....

Why not N. or S. Carolina? Not too cold in the winter. That's where
I've thought about. Kinda hate to leave the Chesapeake though.

Amen. By the way, did I tell you we bought property on the St. Joe River in
Michigan. Planning to build either this next summer or fall. Becoming a
Michigander isn't a particularly thrilling prospect as long as Jenny is
still occupying the throne. Also, if the spirit moves, I can give you
directions to our property in Oriental. Your call.
