Default Thanksgiving Trip

Going places of-season is great....we drove out to Cedar Island and took the
ferry across to ocaracoke and then drove up the National Swashore to
Hatteras and on to Nags Head and Kitty Hawl; then we backtracked to RRoanoke
Island and back home through the marsh and swamp on Alligaror
Highway...visited 3 lighthouses: Ocarcoke, Hatteras, and Bodie, took
Chopper for a long walk on the beach in the mroning, visited the Wright
Brothers Memorial Park, the Fort Raleigh/Lost Colony Park, and the NC
Aquarium. Then we ate the best BBQ I've ever had at a place called Fred's
in a little burg out in the seamp on the way home. All in all was a great
trip, albeit a bit chilly at times, but the sun was shining for the most
part and the winds finally dropped down today so you didn't feel scoured
when on the beach. I posted some pics on my Webshots site plus some from 2
weeks ago when the weather was still more clement than inclement out on
Atlantic Beach.

Sh-ssh! Not so loud, you want the place to be overrun?? It's
only 'out-of-season' because most business concessions out
there are making plenty of money from all the dummies that
go out there thru the baking-hot summer months, and they are
either skiing in the Rockies or relaxing at slightly warmer
beaches slightly further south.

Sounds like a great trip. We haven't been to the Aquarium in
a long time, did you go to Fort Macon too?

Hmm, I hope you can give us directions to Fred's later. I am
definitely interested in this BBQ.

Thanks for posting the pics.

Ahh, learned a new language today! North American ????

so "of-season" means 'out-of-season'...who would know!!!

I hope she doesn't find out that sharks sometimes swim up
the river all the way to New Bern... sometimes they jump
right up on the dock!

I saw one last night...he was a really sedy looking character...
BTW, the CG was scouting around with their lights out going up and down the
fairwats....thought they must be looking for you so I directed them to your
marina...

You can thank me later...

OK

Had their lights out? I hope they weren't having battery
trouble.
