Default Hey, Bobsprit!

What is going on in the movie business? Did you give it up to make your
fortune as an entrepreneur? Are you still screen writing, producing,
directing?

He's selling boats for a broker. And he's got a Beneteau 35s5 he can let
you have for pennies on the dollar.

I'm currently working on a sailing book. The good part is that it's
been picked up by a major publisher. The bad part is that I failed to
get all of the photo's I needed and I'll probably be going nuts in
Florida next week trying to get what's missing.
I don't want to give away the book focus....but I think it's a good
idea and will help a lot of folks who are dreaming of sailing, but
afraid to make the leap.

Okay, Bubbles, you're now on the hook. We'll all want to see this "book"
when it's published. You *will* give us the specifics then, no? It is a
sure thing, ja?

What's great about the book is all the freebies I get for product placement
in the photos. To date I've received:

Zeiss binoculars
Harken fleece jacket
Free boat show tickets
Sunbrella cockpit enclosure - at cost!
Outboard motor
Inflatable zodiac for cost
Camera case

There will be a lot more freebies, I'm not even halfway through the book.

Find a local Lobster caterer, or the guys who overnight lobsters. Need
lobsters on your galley table shots, Local seaside restaurants will
give free meals to have the dock & restaurant featured in your book.
Get you a free Liferaft for an Important chapter in the book. Don't pay
cost for anything! Tell them the competitior is sending one free and
they need to as well, that your going to pick them anyway, because you
like there features ;0). Provide them with a list of your sponsers,
make them begg to be published.

It's all in the way you approach them.

Joe,

Why didn't I think of that? Thanks to you, Suzanne and I will be dining like
the King and Queen that we are! If I get an extra set of bino's I'll send
you one. Maybe I'll come down to Houston to take some photos. Did I tell you
I got another nikon D70 for free? Free!

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're full of it, Bubbles.
Unless you've been published before, and repeatedly, no publishing house is
going to give you the time of day, let alone a bunch of free expensive items
and a book deal for a manuscript they don't have in their hands. I'm
betting this is just more trolling BS, and this imaginary book will never
see the grace the shelves of any Barnes and Noble.

If I'm wrong, I'll apologize and recant. A good start would be to show me
something you've accomplished, creatively, to date. I'm waiting.
