Jocko Homo: Devo (just wind in sails)
Red Sails in the Sunset: Slim Whitman
Moonlight Bay : Doris Day

Men:

It's great to be on a ship with men
And sail across the sea-o
We don't know where we'll land or when
But it's great to be with men
'Cause men can sweat and men can stink
And no one seems to care-o
We'll throw the dishes in the sink
And clog the sink with hair-o

Men, men, men, it's a ship filled with men
So batten down the ladies room,
There's no one here but men
There's men above, there's men below
There's men down in the galley
there's Mitch and Dave and Jim and Bob
And one guy we call Sally

Men, men, men, it's ship all filled with men
You'll never have to lift the seat
There's no one here but men
We're men and friends until the end
And none of us are missus
At night we'll sleep in separate beds
And blow each other kisses

Men, men, men, it's a ship all filled with men
So throw your rubbers overboard
There's no one here but men

Mambo Italiano: Rosemary Clooney
Herring Boats: Mickey Katz (a great, great song)
Anchors Away: United States Marine Corps Band
Popeye the Sailor Man
Theme from "Gilligan's Island"
"Over the Waves" by Rosas (great for climbing rigging) you'll know this one

Heard this today, one of my favorites;

Grand Funk Railroad

I'm Your Captain

Everybody, listen to me,
And return me, my ship.
I'm your captain, I'm your captain,
Although I'm feeling mighty sick.
I've been lost now, days uncounted,
And it's months since I've seen home.
Can you hear me, can you hear me,
Or am I all alone.
If you return me, to my home port,
I will kiss you mother earth.
Take me back now, take me back now,
To the port of my birth.
Am I in my cabin dreaming, or are you really scheming,
To take my ship away from me?
You'd better think about it, I just can't live without it.
So, please don't take my ship from me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah ...
I can feel the hand, of a stranger,
And it's tightening, around my throat.
Heaven help me, Heaven help me,
Take this stranger from my boat.
I'm your captain, I'm your captain,
Although I'm feeling mighty sick.
Everybody, listen to me,
And return me, my ship.
I'm your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm your captain, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
I'm getting closer to my home ...
I'm getting closer to my home ...
I'm getting closer to my home ...
I'm getting closer to my home ...

Yes, second only to this classic;

YO HO (A PIRATE'S LIFE FOR ME)

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We pillage, we plunder, we rifle, and loot,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We kidnap and ravage and don't give a hoot,
Drink up me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We extort, we pilfer, we filch, and sack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Maraud and embezzle, and even high-jack,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We kindle and char, inflame and ignite,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We burn up the city, we're really a fright,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

We're rascals, scoundrels, villans, and knaves,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
We're devils and black sheep, really bad eggs,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me.
We're beggars and blighters, ne'er-do-well cads,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.
Aye, but we're loved by our mommies and dads,
Drink up, me 'earties, yo ho.

;)

Here's an old classic.

Writer deceased and unknown

SEIDELMANN (sung to Beatles "Nowhere Man")

He owns a real Seidelmann,
It handles like a carbage can,
Sailing all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
Can't point or even heave to,
Knows not what he'll do…in bad weather,
he'll probably try to…call the coast guard

Seidel-Man, please listen,
You don't know what you're missing,
Seidel-Man, your boats worth less than canned spam!

He's as dumb as he can be,
Just sees what Steve wants him to see,
Seidel-Man can you show some spine at all?
Doesn't have a thing to lose, when he goes upwind, she just
stalls.

Seidel-man, don't worry,
You hardly spent any money,
But your choice of boat is still funny
Hey, can't you see you've flushed away 5K?

He's a real Siedel-Man,
Most people spend more on frying pans,
Sailing all his nowhere plans
for nobody.
For nobody
Sailing all his nowhere plans for nobody!

I've never been there, except for a very brief change of planes at DFW.
That f***ing monstrosity is so huge that it took us the whole half hour to
walk from one gate to the subsequent one. And we only covered about 25% of
the terminal, walking at a very brisk pace. They have a train to move
people around the terminal--we should have taken it to save time. You could
put Chicago within the boundaries of that airport. The weather was foggy,
so we didn't have to actually *see* Texas.

I drove across three times. One roundtrip in my car, once in one
direction hitchhiking. Actually, the people were very nice. I
even got a ride from a local FAA guy who caught me trying to hitchhike
on small planes in a small airport (forget which one... near Texarkana
I believe). Another guy in his 80s stopped on the wrong side of the
street to ask if I wanted a ride. Got to be fast friends with him and
his wife cooked me dinner.
