In Neal's case, it doesn't matter, since he no longer has a boat. It was hit
by lightning, and even before that, it was on a mooring for his entire
existance in the keys.

Your cheap Coronado boom that came from the factory BROKE. It was due
partly to
quakity issues and partly to lack of seamanship. You then did a hack job
repairing it, and it now weighs an extra 40-50 pounds. It is not only FAR
less
structurally sound, but it also adversely affects the stability of your
boat,
and compromises the safety of anyone aboard. It's a good thing you live in
a
residence motel and never actually sail anywhere.
