I would like to make an adjustable tiller lock for my yacht. Does
anyone have plans/ideas etc?

Duh!... YEAH!! Look here now... is it common for you to approach the Cabal
of Nautical Knowledge..... the Illuminate of Polars..... the assorted
Ayatollahs of Sail Controlas..... with such paltry details????

Tiller Locks depend on location. ....stern hung?... tiller on the rudder
stock thru the cockpit sole?....

If you have a fin keeler.... well you have a finicky boat that requires
constant attention. I Pity You!

Then again I have a Full Keeler with Cut-Away Forefoot that really is the
best of both worlds.. Tracks like a train downwind without any tension on
the rudder.

I have a stern hung rudder and tiller that stays clear of the cockpit. I use
a tiller clutch and two adjustable bungee cords on blocks. Tension is
adjustable to each side. But seriously... the only use they see is when I'm
at a mooring and want to secure the rudder.... or when I'm going below for a
crap while single-handing.

Maybe you should look into either an Autohelm or a Boat Bitch to man that
tiller when you are otherwise occupied!

Why don't you tie a piece of line across the
boat and slip a clove hitch on the tiller.

Its a 32' full keeler. It has a transom hung rudder that is the full
depth of the keel.

blonde and can't use a tiller (Can you believe it).

Whats a tiller clutch?

Thats what I do now but wanted something adjustable.

Why do things the easy way when there's always a hard way.

My boat is a 53 year old carvel sail boat made from a local timber
called Jarrah.

Beautifull boat and I have had her for 7 years.

Like the Tiller Tender? I'm sure you'll find it with a google search.

Then you obviously don't sail one.....or balance it like a full
keeler.

Yeah we know... you like the fin keelers so much you bought a boat made with
two fin keel hulls. :-)

EXCELLENT!!!!

A Real Vessel!!!

West Marine has a Tiller Clutch.

Adjustable Shock cords with small blocks to the tiller.

Use Jam or Clam cleats.....

Is your vessel a double ender like mine?
