poop deck

NOUN: An exposed partial deck on the stern superstructure of a ship.


Could it also be called a "swim platform"?

If you don't want to use the cedar bucket, then the "swim platform"
could certainly be a poop deck!!!

If the platform is simply splashed with the waters of NYC, it is most
certainly a poop deck. What's good is that the waters are recharged with 10
million gallons of raw sewage per day!

Not really.
The swim platform is basicaly and overhang at nearly water level.
The poop deck is a DECK similar to a quater deck but somewhat higher and
directly at the stern of a SHIP.
You could probably dive from it, but swiming?
