Loco's Retirement!!!
Apartments of your type in your area go for $180,000 -220,000. I can
post the appraisers valuation from the NYC dept of Taxation if you like. We own a 3 bedroom apartment in Kew Gardens. Current selling prices are over 300K and 2 were just sold. You can get apartments for around 200K, but not in our building so close to Forest Park. Saying you can get a real estate in a given area for a median price shows total ignorance about the market. The average cost of a home in PA where my father lives is almost half the value of his specific property. We own the apartment outright as well as a 3 bedroom home in Brooklyn that I inherited. Currently we live rent free in my wife's apartment, which she bought 9 years ago. We're also about to own our 35s5 outright and we own our 37K new Subaru SUV, WRX outright. As soon as Suzanne has two years in at her critical care unit, we'll be buying a 3rd home, probably in Mahopac. Not too shabby for someone working from home and just 42 years old. If this sort of stuff matters to you I have younger friends who are truly wealthy, but they work harder than I do. And yes..we have a nice boat and an even nicer one planned after we move! Cheers! I'd hate to
make you feel bad by posting my country estates value. Yes, loco, that's very impressive. I'm sure we're all impressed. But I'm only 42 and my net worth is considerable. My home in Brooklyn is worth about 850K as of two years ago, perhaps even more now. Add that to the apartment. Since your retired I hope you're comfortable. RB |
Loco's Retirement!!!
Face it, you own the least expensive housing in the NY area.
Not at all since we own two other properties including the house in Brooklyn. Face it, we've started where most of you gave finished. And it'll only get better from here. I'm the ONLY person in this group who is likely to own a Swan or a Baltic and actually sail it offshore. The rest of you are phonies who will be posting here until well after your last crappy boats are sold or dying in some forgotten yard. RB Beneteau 35s5 NY |

You didn't even know what a Baltic was until I mentioned it a couple of years ago. As I've stated before you keep trying to be me. As far as other's boats being ready for the chainsaw when they get old .......... well that would be perfect timing wouldn't it? |

RB Jeez, the property market in the US must be depressed. Only around boob****, when he moves into an area real estate prices drop faster than you can say ''there goes the neighborhood''. Scotty |

You didn't even know what a Baltic was until I mentioned it a couple of
years ago. Now that is funny! I've had my copy of The World's Best Sailboats longer than I've been whipping you into a lather here! Robert B First 35s5 NY |
