My #1 is certainly Loco, but then beyond any and all doubt Scotty Potty
is # 2.

There you have it!

Bwahahahahahaha!

Thanks. I know that you always admired my boat. That's why you bought
a boat with a deck house that's copied from the Express. Even the
under deck running of the halyards was a feature first used by Express
Yachts.

Yes, your boat is also a #2. I didn't know the Express 30 had it's
lines running under the deck.

The Express 30 is a fine little racing boat, old, but still okay if you
can't afford something nicer. I even suggested one for an ex girlfriend
who was looking for a 1st boat. She decided she wanted a heavy cruiser
instead.

Apparently she's 'into' heavy things.

Yup, she bought a nicely restored Pearson Vanguard.

Well, then, she has a nicer boat than you do.

And this guy posted in the past that he knew all about the boat. I
keep saying he knows nothing about boats.

You are some dumb guy! Your boat has no lines running under the deck.
Meanwhile, PROVE that I said I knew all about the Depress 30. All I
know is I'd never waste money on one.

Sigh....
Why are you such a dope? You must know I've seen pics of the boat and
also saw one on the Sound. I know she has lines running under FG
covers....but why allow me to constantly tell you one thing, then flip
flop and play you for the fool? You see I do it ALL THE TIME with
everything, including the boats...until I finally post a pic of the
"real" boat.
Did you put the "KICK ME" sign on your own back to get attention as a
child? What's wrong with you, Loco? Do you really care if I own a nicer
boat? Someone will ALWAYS own a nicer boat, Loco. I strongly suggest
learning to like yours and be grateful for what you have...like Scotty.

Stuff I don't like about the Depress 30....

It's old and looks it.
Not enough LOA to carry the boxy cabin trunk with any grace.
Hard lines of hull don't even look good under sail. Generic looking at best.
Stern section is not as nice as my 35s5...no way, no how.
Cabin is really small.
Few around to race against. We have 8 J30's locally.
Dead boat/builder. No support.
Horrible port design...just like my old C&C 32.
Ultra dated interior...like Mr. T's van.
Very little respect for the name even with experienced sailors.
No swim platform!

Things I like...

Fast boat
Good helm layout
Uncluttered deck

Since Loco mostly races and daysails, a Depress 30 is really enough for
him and if that's okay with him, why worry about it, Scotty?

What, me Worry?

Why does Loco's boat bug you so much?
Is it simply the fact that he has a real boat and you don't?

Scotty, owns a real sailboat.

Bug me? Not at all. I just wish Loco could be happy with it the way
you're happy with yours. Someone will always have something bigger,
better and faster. And if you pony up for the biggest and the
fastest...it won't be for long.
Loco needs to relax and just enjoy what he has.
