To tell you the truth, I'm not very impressed by the topsides.

The thing that influenced me was the combination of "family

accommodation with "performance".

I don't care for that look myself, but I didn't want to offend you.

Performance wasn't at the top of my list when I was looking, but I got
a good light air boat, which is great for the Chesapeake. I need to
reef early for heavy winds, and my rudder is kinda small ( but shallow
draft was one priority).

You can't describe it because you have never done it.

Don't worry. You couldn't offend me!

Different folks like different boats. I know that my boat is far too
light
for many of the posters here. However, I cannot describe the thrills
involved in sailing downwind with the spinaker up in 34 kts of wind. I
wouldn't swap it for anything.

I bet he has. It's not that difficult or uncommon.

I could try.

Scotty,
A Snark that actually gets sailed would be a better choice
than any boat that bobspit uses for bragging on the Internet.

Awww Lon, just because you haven't the skill, doesn't mean others
don't.

*I* don't have the skill. I was lucky enough to have a damn good crew.

Maybe Lon doesn't know how to treat experienced sailors???

Next weekend I am going sailing with most of the same crew. If the weather
is kind, then we will have a blast. I'll report back in 12 days.
