When I hauled my boat for the first time, the growth on the bottom of the
hull was longer than the keel was deep... over 4 feet. All kinds of
creatures jumped off when they lifted the boat out of the water. Motoring
over to the hauling dock, the best I could do was about 1 kt. with full
throttle.

My friend picked up a boat for free. He brought it to the yard today
and the bottom had 14 inches of shelled creatures attached to the
bottom, 18 inches at the thruhulls. **** with all that removed I bet he
is going to be sitting 2 inches higher in the water..

Have you ever seen any growth thicker, besides on the exxon Valdez in
the movie water world?

Joe
