The last sunglass thread was corrupted, sort of 'gayed up', so I thought I
would start a new one. Here is the type of sailing sunglasses I use: http://tinyurl.com/3j3ou I highly recommend them. Notice the shape of the lenses? They fill the little space at the bottom of the eye near the nose. Most glasses are not this shape and therefore reflected sunlight sneaks in to the eye through this little area. They are also available at different tints. Mine are kind of dark, relative to sailing the Great Lakes (where I do most of my sailing), but I bought them specifically for sailing in the tropics and sub tropics, where greater protection is needed. They are available at West Marine. I bought mine in St. Petersburg, FL. Lonny B -- "Rock stars! Is there anything they don't know?" Homer Simpson |
