Understanding is probably not a function of the protozoan world,
though James Blish once suggested otherwise ("the seedling stars").

But I firmly believe every critter has its value or utility,
though in some cases I'm damned if I can work out what that value
or utility might be.

Come to think of it, as we're dealing with waterborne critters
here, perhaps their utility is a ford...
