In this day of laser/video guided missiles, audio and magnetic sensors, etc., I'm wondering how important radar stealth is in a ship? I can understand it's need in a plane traveling at 500 knots, but a ship traveling a tenth of that? What am I missing? |

Could make a difference between a miss and hit, when you're talking about terminal guidance of missiles in an environment heavy with electronic warfare measures. Also it helps in any operation to be a little bit harder for an enemy to see & pinpoint you. The question is, can a big enough advantage be gained to be worth the money & effort? Regards Doug King |
