If you mean client/server, I'd have to say that I have no need for that
here. Stability is the main thing I like about 2K. And it can generally get
its act together with IP stuff a lot faster than w9.x (which requires
interminable reboots and looks at the original CD to make the slightest
change).

I'm just pleased as punch with XP Pro and it's inherent ability to command &
navigate LAN.
I found the stability to equal or excel any previous OS I've used. The
capacity of XP Pro to alter and accommodate a wide variety of protocols
lends to it's functionality if used by anyone with an inkling of
comprehension as to utilization of it's capability.

I'm just now negotiating codecs and copyright protection protocols that are
causing a worldwide panic..... **** those *******s... I paid for the DVD..
I should be allowed {and I am by law }to make a copy to use for personal
purposes. I've just loaded DVD Shrink.... we'll see who can do what!!
****in' copyright protection has gone overboard! **** those assholes!

I use XP Home at home and XP Pro at work...there is only a little
difference...most of the Pro package has to do with server compatibility and
safeguards...

Now it's doing it to Moorons posts.
If I hit ''properties'' , I now see ''line 4'' (references) is way
long.
But, I can't delete them.

There is no 'open with- WP' option. I'm using Win-95.

Outlook Express could not post your message. Subject ' Katy

too long', Port: 119, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 441, Error
Number: 0x800CCCA9

The following instructions aren't as complicated as they look.

Here is how you can reply to the message:

1. Highlight Katy's message.

2. Click "File" - "Save as" ... and choose Desktop as the
directory.
(Desktop should appear in the drop down list)

3. Shrink all open windows so that you can see the desktop.

4. Right click the document called "Re_ Katy get a bigger dink.nws"

5. Choose "Open with" - "wordpad".

6. You will see a line near the top that starts with the word
"References: "
This is probably the line that is causing the problem. This
line
consists of a
bunch of references to previous posts. Each reference begins
with a "" and ends with a "". Delete the first couple of
references.

7. "File"-"Save".. and close wordpad.

8. Double click the document called "Re_ Katy get a bigger dink.nws"

9. Click the "Reply" button" and everything should work as normal.

That's redundant....keep your Norton's updated and get a good firewall...AVG
is good, but it is freeware, so I don't trust it entirely...

I have Norton, and AVG.

..and there are anti-virus programs to stop that! When the next OS

arrives..
Windows Longhorn... they will be writing viruses to target that as

well.

You shouldn't be online without a good anti-virus program. I use

Norton
Systemworks, ZoneAlarm Pro and I'm behind a Router on Cable.

Auto-updates
are on.
