Here are a few pictures. It was a new camera and I
accidentally took a few movies instead of pictures.
I was trying to zoom in all these cases thinking I was
taking still photos. I have no way to upload these
videos.

I have two short videos of whales that actually show
more than a still photo would. I also have a few
short videos of Mirabella and Mirabella V.

Email me if you want me to send them to you. It may
take as while as I'm travelling for the next few weeks.

Like the pics, especially the Indians.

Too bad you didn't have a zoom for this.

Nice photos Bart.

Were you sailing aboard Maribella?

Nice looking motor sailor "Ketch1"

About the poacher, you should of called the coppers and held him there
until they arrived.

I can understand a man selling rare fish if its feeding his family,
but to kill bigger fish for no cause but the lack of profit... shows he
is ignorant and has no regard what so ever for anyone else.

Sad situation indeed. It would be smarter putting the locals to work
in a aquaculture co-op.

Anyway looks like you had a nice sail.

Just the pics are pretty impressive. I like the one of Mirabella in
profile with the cruise ships in the background... gives a sense of the
sheer size. It's actually a pretty boat.

BTW I agree about the jib lead. If it was really all the way forward,
and the foot was that stretched with the leach flopping, that was the
wrong sail. Was there not a 2nd track forward, or some other way to lead
the sheet?

And thanks for posting these. Looks like a great trip!

Hahhahahhahaha. No one. Really unfair, actually, the place is almost
completely obscure, I had to look up MAPS of the Caribbean to find any
references to it.

Good description, and I stand corrected, I wrote that this tiny little spit
of land belonged to France, wikpedia claims it's Venezuelan, which would
explain the presence of the Venezuelan Navy in that area. The only reason I
took the pics-5 or 6-was we couldn't make it out with binoculars, the 75-300
zoom is IS.

you probably already know that.

I wish I was sailing on Mirabella. Mirabella V is $250,000 a week to
charter.

Scott Vernon March 15th 05 10:49 PM

Wow! What did she cost to build?
