Ive been thru 5-6 hurricanes and only had one item
trashed, a 22' camper on jacks rolled across the lawn. My fault.I was
offshore and did not have it properly secured. You know the news people
look for the worst to show you Yankee's on TV.

Perhaps, but it really DOES look bad. I was especially fond of the guy
doing a live shot when a sailing sheet of metal blasted him into the next
county. Or was that on that silly "Day After Tomorrow" movie?

Happened to friends in Punta Gorda. The neighbors allowed a 50'
sportfisherman to raft alongside their 30' sailboat. Of course they both
parted their lines and found their way to our friends' Catalina 34.

That's nice, Joe...my husband lived in Jacksonville for 5 years...my
mom-in-law in St Pete for 20 and various other relatives are
lifers....hurricanes are terribly destructive, not onlt for lubbers but for
experienced boaters...you do no one any favors by lessening the facts of
reality except possibly leading the uninformed unto a dangerous
situation...be a nice boy and go back to your manly man stuff, now and stop
spinnig tales...

We've told him that and told him that but he keeps on Sikkensing....of
course, he's always done way before we are with our varnishing...
(and he's got a lot more wood...)
