Dear Capt. Mooron,
It is a pleasure to be in the company of another besides Joe, who knows what he wants in a sailboat and goes out and gets it. I realize your present circumstances keep you from sailing to your heart's content and, even if I give you a ration of sh*t from time to time, I do so knowing you are secure in the knowledge that your boat is the best boat for you. Even I, Capt. Neal, would be proud to own and sail such a fine boat. As a matter of fact, I looked at a couple Nordica 30's several years ago with the intent of moving up to a sturdy, blue water vessel but then decided coastal cruising with an occasional blue water jaunt was more to my liking so I stuck with my tried and true vessel and made modifications so she was more blue water capable but still nimble and handy. Such is the compromise of sailing yachts. You are so unlike most so-called sailors, of whom Bobsprit is a good example, in that you didn't buy a boat to impress your friends. You bought it to satisfy yourself. A sailboat is an extension of one's self and no mistake. Your boat says, "Here comes a prudent and savvy sailor who, even though he may arrive late, arrives safe. " My hat's off to you, sir! CN "Capt. Mooron" wrote in message news:GojTd.4301$TB.3888@edtnps84... "Capt. Neal®" wrote in message ... Actually, a Nordica 30 is a fine, blue water vessel. It is such a waste to abuse one like Mooron does by living way up there in Canaduh where it sits, unused most of the year. I purchased my Nordica 30 after lenghty reasearch, many inspections and countless hours of negotiation. After looking at 6 other Nordica 30s for sale... I fell in love with this particular boat and would have no other. I purchased the largest boat I could afford and single hand. Overproof is lovingly cared for and treated like a family member. It is a well known vessel and is always welcomed to any raft-ups. My neprhews and nieces have cut their sailing teeth and learned their navigational skills aboard. They still tell the tales of Overproof in Yellowknife. My engagements with the local law enforement and regulatory agencies are legend on the lake. Hey, Mooron, why not sell it to somebody who appreciates fine blue water vessels and who would use it as intended instead of as a way to hold down a cradle ashore? You could always buy a Mac26X and keep it warm in the garage on a trailer - more your style. I would no sooner entertain selling my vessel than you would parting with Cut The Mustard! We know our vessels and their abilities as well as limitations and nuances. CM |

Keep that blood thin...it'll help with the circulation to extremities. No Man.... keep the blood thick or dilute with alcohol to keep circulation going. CM |

this crap: Down here in Texas you snow clowns would blush bright red at the antics and fun we create sailing down here...not to mention your pearly lilly white skin would turn red as a tomato in 46 mins. WTF were we arguing about again... oh yeah, got it
Capt. Mooron wrote: The hell you say.... you're the one backing up... not me! I called you on it and you implied that you didn't mean what you said... but now you say you did? What I said was pretty clear to anybody with a 5th grade comprehension of English. I did not say that you can't hold a job. I said that you can hold a job in a location where there's no competition due to chronic labor shortage. See the difference? Steady up, I'm trying to help you, here. Make up your mind Doug... either you are calling me a drug addled braggart or you're not. I only know how you act on the internet. You act like a drug-addled braggart... in fact you brag about using drugs... should I assume that you're not one? Don't worry ... I won't slap you around too hard... I'm not worried at all. DSK |
I thank you for your kind words. CM "Capt. Neal®" wrote in message ... Dear Capt. Wooooooo.... drug addled braggarts now..... and can't hold a job..... My my my... it's Binary Bill a La Doug Trawler! Hehee! Doug's been a little testy since he came back from his sailing trip. Since this wasn't directed at you but you seem to be in need of attention.... I'll pencil you in. What about me? lol LP |

Backing down, eh? No Doug, I ain't..... you really do act like a simpleton on many occasions..... especially when you start to over-estimate your value! To save wear and tear on your palms? No Doug... I save the back of my hand for pussies and pretentious little smucks that step out of line. Is a woman considered a pussy? ;-) LP (wonders if Capt. Mooron abuses women...) |
