That is amazing. How could they think for even
one moment of buildling it that way?

Because it's a Hunter!

Actually I'm convinced that all the mass-produced boats cut corners in
similar ways. They're just not built for hard sailing.

The same thing happened to the Irwin I used for a season (before the
accident). It was probably built by Neal.
