The "take precautionary action until" is bureaucratic-sounding
useless twaddle is the correct answer. What do you expect from the USCG? The answer is C "DSK" wrote Bart Senior wrote: INLAND Yyou are aboard the stand-on vessel in a crossing situation. You sound one blast whistle signal. The give-way vessel answers with a two blast whistle signal. You should sound the danger signal and A. maintain course and speed as you are the stand on vessel B. come around sharply to port C. take precautionary action until a safe passing agreement is made D. maneuver around the stern of the other vessel I would say either A or D depending on how close & how fast the vessels are moving. The question gives no info as to whether it would be better to turn stbd or port, and "take precautionary action until" is bureaucratic-sounding useless twaddle. DSK |
