Given the overwhelming liberal bias in the
media. This is funny. http://www.drudgereport.com/flash3tt.htm *********************************************** Ted Turner called FOX an arm of the Bush administration and compared FOXNEWS's popularity to Hitler's popular election to run Germany before WWII. Turner made the controversial comments in Las Vegas before a standing-room-only crowd at the National Association for Television Programming Executives's opening session. His no-nonsense, humorous approach during the one-hour Q&A generated frequent loud applause and laughter, BROADCASTING & CABLE reports. While FOX may be the largest news network and has overtaken Turner's CNN], it's not the best*, Turner said. He followed up by pointing out that Adolf Hitler got the most votes ** when he was elected to run Germany prior to WWII. He said the network is the propaganda tool *** for the Bush Administration. "There's nothing wrong with that. It's certainly legal. But it does pose problems for our democracy. Particularly when the news is dumbed down****," leaving voters without critical information on politics and world events and overloaded with fluff," he said. A FOXNEWS spokesperson responded: "Ted is understandably bitter having lost his ratings, his network and now his mind -- we wish him well." ************************************ *polls show otherwise. The fact that this bull**** received applause is proof of liberal bias in the press. **Hitler never received more than 36% of the popular vote. This is another example of how the liberal press manipulated the facts to support his case--exactly what he seems to be accusing FOX News of. ***If one network presents fair and balanced news, while every other network shows a liberal bias, how does this make Fox a propaganda tool? Is it rather every other network and the printed press is a propaganda tool for the liberals? ****Fox News presents information not found on liberal networks, which routinely attack any non-liberal viewpoint. Fox News verifies before publishing, and promotes debate between both sides. |

So lemme understand this: Someone tells the truth and Fox says he's
"losing his mind". Does that about sum it up? |

The poor man has lost his market share and then
his mind. Here is your proof: Note the specific refernence questioning the rationality of the other networks. http://www.discovery.org/scripts/vie...&program=Misc& id=2226 FoxNews: 54.2 percent; CNN: 29.2 percent; CNN Headline News: 8.5 percent; MSNBC: 8.1 percent. "Never before has MSNBC [placed] fourth." http://www.ravnwood.com/archives/001556.shtml http://www.ariannaonline.com/forums/...hp/t-6093.html TV news: blind to market? - The Washington Times: Commentary ... http://www.washtimes.com/commentary/...4112-6280r.htm For years, surveys have shown the country has more conservatives than liberals, and there are almost an even number of Republican and Democrat voters. Does it make economic sense to have four left-leaning (five if you count MSNBC separate from NBC) TV news organizations, and only one right-leaning? People go to FOX, not because it's perfect, it's not, but because the rest of the news is strongly liberaly bias. If you are intelligent, you vote with your feet and seek news from the most reliable source. In the US it's FOX News and the Wall Street Journal. Bart "Frank" wrote in message oups.com... I dunno about economics. It's ok with me if we have any number of honest news stations. Over and above that, if you wackos want to have a right-wing propaganda organ, go ahead. Just don't pretend that it's "news" or that it's "fair and balanced." Fox makes Pravda look like a bastion of responsible journalism. People go to Fox for the same reason that working class people vote Republican: they're stupid or they're fanatical ideologues. You can tell this Big Lie (liberal bias) as often as you want; but the reality is that most news organizations try to be honest and fair. Fox sells propaganda and outright lies and calls itself "fair" when it is anything but. It is a propaganda organ. The others are news organizations. There's a difference. Frank |

What amazes me is that you can post that you have "proof" of something provided by Drudge, Huffington, and the Cato Institute; but you'd obviously scorn someone who'd riposte with Michael Moore, Al Franken, and an opinion piece from the American Communist Workers' Party. And you'd fail to see the irony of your position. Amazing. Mais jamais de ma vie! |
