US Sailing symposium turned out to be pretty good. Gary Jobson, Dave Perry and 260 other sailors and lots of rum. Gary looked pretty good - thin, but seems to be recovering well. He spent a fair amount of time talking about the past and his memoirs. That's a little depressing. Glad to hear he's looking better. His pictures have not been encouraging. As for spending too much time talking about the past, it may be an age thing! Dave had a real good discussion on the new rule changes, then several hours on application and tactics to benefit from them. Buy his book. Was planning on it. BTW thanks for the look ahead at the rule changes. All in all, a great time. Then welcomed home with snow. We had temps in the teens this weekend. Yuck. However I know a great way to keep the boat from freezing... run it! Fresh Breezes- Doug King |
