Nautical Christmas gifts?
Anybody?
I got a brass bell, the small one (4''?) that's for decorative purpose. Scotty |
We got a really bad lighthouse clock with a horrible music box in it that
plays "Fur Elise"....obviously not from a nautical person...was thinking of sending it to Neal but the electric blue case would clash with his mauve interior... "Scott Vernon" wrote in message ... Anybody? I got a brass bell, the small one (4''?) that's for decorative purpose. Scotty |
Suzanne got a nice pair of boat shoes and some foul weather gear that she
doesn't need. I got yet another pair of Fujinon binocs, which I'll have to return and about 600 dollars in BoatUS gift cards. Thomas got a lot of toy boats, which are probably a lot nicer than Scotty Potti's! That was it for the "nautical" stuff. RB |

Or do you mean boat-y looking stuff to lay around the house? We already have so much of that, from years and years of gifts from non-sailing friends, that I don't let any more into the house. Scotty Got a plethora of BoatUS/West Marine gift Certificates that will really take the sting out of spring comissioning and doing upgrades. Our relatives are smart enough to know that they are better off with letting us do the actual shopping if they want to get us something for the boats. Good for them, now you can by some ''how to sail'' books. Brass bell? One friend from Turkey gave us an autographed cymbal from Mehmet of Istanbul. I'm going to have it framed in a shadow box. BBob I'd rather have the brass bell. SV |

We got one of these http://www.blyachting.com/En/detail.asp?sku=0800122 My first pick was an Ideal but it would have needed a custom drum fitted and cost more than twice as much. If anybody is interested I'll post some photos of the installation as it goes along. 1000W, 800# working load, power up & down. There is a wireless remote option I'm thinking hard about. This should be a welcome addition to our cruising, even without the wireless remote. Anchoring has been a bit of a grunt-n-groaner. Fresh Breezes- Doug King |
I got a new perko Y valve for the sewage system, Got to have the fun
time of installing it as well, and a new fancy roll of teflon tape, some SS hose clamps, and a spanking brand new 45 gallon holding tank, and a slick looking vent with hose, and 2 cans of comet 4 bloody knuckles, a sore back, a new 1&1/2 " carbon steel hole saw........oh I could just go on forever, but I do not want to make anyone feel less fortunate. Doug, I just shipped the metallic blue lighthouse that plays Fur Elise
(sharp and flat) to you...will look wonderful on the trawler... "DSK" wrote in message ... Scott Vernon wrote: Anybody? I got a brass bell, the small one (4''?) that's for decorative purpose.
