if you want crewing ops offshore for the experience, having boobs is a
negative. Not because sailors don't like women, they most certainly do, but rather because most offshore crew ops are for large boats (smaller boats can be single or double handed more easily) and crews of 3 to 6 people. Put one woman in a crew of 4 or 5 men and the men can get real competitive, even combative. Same holds true reverse if you put one guy on a 4 women boat (according to a horny lady sailor I know). A wo/man who cooks has more ofshore crewing ops than a wo/man who doesn't. An inexperienced wo/man with some serious athletic background has more ops than a wo/man without. Wish I had boobs.....seems it's the fastest way to go sailing..... for daysails, sure. |
